Comments policy

(I’ve adapted aspects of this comments policy from Crooked Timber.)

I welcome comments on posts, but you do so as a guest in my space.

I will delete comments which are clearly unsuitable, including comments which strike me as defamatory, insulting or provocative.

If a comment seems to me to be stupid or irrelevant, I may also delete it in the interests of keeping the conversation at a reasonable level.

I will do my best to use my power responsibly, you can tell me if you disagree with what I have done, and I will try to consider your views open-mindedly. But in the end, this is my space, it has my name on it, and unsuitable comments affect my reputation.

Thank you for understanding!

Dear Adrian, thank you for the all you wrote about your dad’s life.
I knew your dad from the migraine Clinic as I worked there for a few years and often saw you kids and mum too in the afternoons after you came from school. You were all lovely children.
Mum was also very organised and busy with you all and always had a smile.

I was sad to hear of your dad’s passing Please give my love to your family.

Hi – I’m a family physician headache specialist in the US, retiring at years end. I met your dad at one of my very first headache meetings, ~1994. We shared a world-view, and a view about the importance of the person who had the headache, rather than just the headache itself. I’ve thought of your dad often. Even though I met him only once, he has remained with me. You are fortunate to have had such a father. morris
